Booking boom at Idre Fjäll

The Idre Fjäll ski resort is experiencing a major upswing. In the past four weeks, the facility received just over one fourth more bookings than the same period last year. Between December 20 and January 16, Idre Fjäll received 26 percent more bookings for the season than between the same dates last year. Many tourists wanted to come and ski over the New Year's and Epiphany holidays, but some have also booked for the rest of the winter season. The booking distribution is even from January to April.

Demand shows no signs of declining either, and Idre Fjäll is experiencing continued pressure from both online and call center bookings. One explanation for the booking boom is believed to be the lack of snow to the south in Sweden. However, Idre Fjäll has a somewhat normal amount of snow for the time of the year. The snow is 53 centimeters deep - and that is natural snow.
